Fashion show Planet S

Fashion show Planet S

Studio Heijne in collaboration with Madeleine hatz.

Last week we launched our collection Planet S in a fashion show in Stockholm.

Madeleine and I met in 2016 as studio neighbors. When Madeleine invited me into her studio and showed her some of her paintings I felt inspired and uplifted. Vibrant colors and textures like these have often been a source of inspiration for my designs. We both talked about how marvelous her paintings, printed on silk, would look draped around a woman’s figure. We decided to collaborate on a project--to make a dialogue between fashion and art in the spirit of Sonia Delaunay, the modernist artist and fashion designer in Paris in the 1920’s.

Planet S, the collection’s title, is taken from a painting by Madeleine Hatz in her recent exhibition at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. A digital reproduction of “Planet S,” along with four other images of Hatz’ paintings, were sustainably printed on translucent silk in an artisanal shop in Italy. We hope that the garments will be valued like fine jewelry—cherished for years, always worn again in new combinations and new styles.

The collection is available I our concept store at Kammakargatan 27 in Stockholm and will be available from next week in our web shop. All garments can be made-to -measured and customized.

About me

No more standard sizes and standard fashion. I believe in fashion personalized by you.  Thats why I have founded Studio Heijne. By blogging I hope to add some colour to your daily life. And hopefully inspire you to think outside the box and to try the new way of shopping: personal slow-fashion instead of mass-produced garments.
